Run your own personal best - Ten Kilometers
HA HABelieve it or not, carlyn tan ran (or maybe more like walk) 10km today.
First and hopefully not last time in my lifee.
Quite an experience, considering I've not been running much since the post-hockey days. I've never ran/walk non stop for 87mins in my entire life. So sad right. ha ha ha.
Well finally this is done. I kept complaining through out and I just kept walking in the midst of occasional sprints. My legs turning jelly, my stomach carried all that burger king i had for lunch 2 hours before the run, my toes forming blisters, sweat soaking up my tee.
But alas, we got it over and done with. Probably could have completed within a better timing but well I was really lazy and no strength. =(
But still felt QUITE accomplised after.
Hooray for that.
Other pluses for the day: longchamp tote from paris, and seeing ethan smile & cry. hahaha. i'm quite a sadist aunt i laugh when he cries, screams and lao sais. hahahaha.

Was looking through my photos in facebook, and saw my diff hairstyles through the years. hahahaha oh man, i shall post all the diff photos here n compare, maybe have a poll too. HAHAHA though not many ppl will participate but see how la. ha ha ha.
i miss my long curls, but i rmb when i had them i felt qt gross and sick. see how fickle minded humans are? hahahaa

SAFARI JUNGLE MADNESS - a roaring good time !
YAY I finally had my 21st birthday party (probably the last i'd have unless perhaps a bachelorette one before i get married but anyway..) last night!
Turn out was quite bad, many last minute this and that. It was quite pissing but well no point in being upset about that. Grateful for those who came! Freaks, HT, hopians, classmates and others who love me. I just hope that everyone had a little fun at least.

MR LOH ENG HAO - I just cant thank you enough. For being ever so generous in getting me the best I could and helping me collect everything from morning till evening until your whole car is filled to the brim. For bringing me cheer& love :) :) You made this happen.
MS ANG AMANDA - The best hostess ever (shit i'm making her sound like some beer woman) hahaha. I'm so glad to have sucha sweet and cheerful friend to hype up the party. I dont know if you read but you rock, honey.
MS SHEILA FONG - Who probably doesnt read. But this woman is the best photographer ever, and i declare her best dressed too. Haha. Appreciate the help in setting up the room, getting the nicest lights all and for helping to clear up at the end too. x)
MS ANGELYN LEE - The sweetest little girl ever who looks after my every detail (from food to deco to blue tac and to dabaoing of food even) :) Thank you dearest for being at the sound console and for the constant reminders to be happy and not be so stressed. It's kinda scary how you could tell how i felt huh! haha, and thanks for clearing up too. You sweet little thing.
Of cos too, thank you for all your presents, especially the board made by the freaks. Thanks for telling the whole world my butt whobbles. Haha. You girls always always make me laugh. And the little presentation of the iconic 'cant take'. And yes, my very sexy leopard print bra & thong (which actually looks sweet too. heh heh heh) I LIKEEEE. okay i sound lewd now. hurrr.
Yupp it was a simple event, but i'm glad all went well.
Waiting to get the photos from father! I wonder how many there are. hahah.
OKAY im supposed to be doing my tax project but here i am blogging away happily.

Fallen graceI've been ranting the entire week cos school has started.
Yes, life's certainly gotta change again. No more late morning brunches, no more just slacking around, no more going anywhere i want to, no more non-stop tv time.
The week has been hard. Amist the strange yet familiar feeling of being back to school, having to form new project groups with strangers, taking weird module about einstein, and cracking my head how to plan my days ahead with the neverending readings.
But well, amazingly, while on the way home a couple of weary nights, i could feel GOD speak to me. N like even the lyrics in the songs i hear in my ipod made sense. Some songs, the words 'relax' struck so much, and another about how 'i need your grace'. Piecing everything together, it's just trusting my beloved lord n savior. Submitting my all to Him and well anyway it's all for His will.
Whether or not i'll be an auditor, accountant, service person, teacher or whatever, only He knows.
So yes, it's really gonna be a shit tough year. But I guess theres really no point complaining at all. (but bear with me when i do cos sometimes i just need to release)
Just gotta grit my teeth and hang on and try as best as i could. So yeah really gonna study bloody hard. Will be so busy and stuff, but priorities ought to be set.
This post is kinda like some wake up call and reminder to myself. So it's quite boring i know. =)
Anyway, been crashing at the lum's the past wk or so. The next few days too. Cos my dear little cousin is having her psle prelims n need stay in tuition aka me. haha. Shes funny n cute though, so it's bearable. But oh shit man some questions are not easy at all! it's like math, i dont know how to solve some without using algebra & simultaneous eqns n such.
Gosh, see how complicated we become now with so much education.
So much so we cant see the simplest things.
Guess its the same as how we often overlook and take for granted so many things in life. The pretty pink flowers, the fluffy white clouds, the sound of crickets...
I should really feel blessed :)

my first proper class today.
im back to learning to about equity, cash flows, balance sheets, p/l, property etc.
doesnt sound good nor exciting to me.
sigh! sometimes i ask myself why am i doing this.
first lesson of valuation looks tough already. and it doesnt help when i've totally cleaned out almost all the finance & accounts stuff like: whats a put option, how to calculate PV.
and there's homework already. though due in week 3, but i bet i'll accumulate them very soon.

ACCESSORIES! more necklaces, earrings, bracelets, bangles, rings please! i cant ever get enough of them!
CLOTHES! my wardrobe is never too full for more tops n dresses. no need bottoms, thanks. sized 10 / M.
BRAS & PANTIES! i love cute n pretty ones x) i actually really want a nice red bra. hahaa.
MAKEUP! actually just pots of colorful shimmery mac eyeshadows. & a bronzer would be cool too.
