CHRISTMAS 25-12-2008

This Christmas was pretty amazing.

I got the best gifts from my Father in heaven (that includes my surprising results which He fortold me beforehand, and many other blessings of cos), my sweetest boyf (for the knitted dress and pretty b earstuds which i wanted for super long, thank you love), and getting to spend time with all my loved ones (including church friends and my whole family).

This day is special, not cos of the presents we give and receive, but because we feel the immense love given by the Lord. We celebrate not the birth of the baby Jesus, but the birth of this special Friend in our hearts once more this year.

I feel that christmas is the most romantic day in the year, more so than valentines. cos the entire day is dedicated to love, love so unconditional and really the true meaning of how love should be like. :)

I wish for peace love & joy for everyone i know. God bless each one of you guys!

Count my blessings

Christmas is in less than a week! it's really quick!

and honestly, i'm not really prepared for Christmas.. in a way which i'd wanted to.
havent been the best i could be the past weeks, and i know i should really be a better person.

but still, our Father has been ever so great and loving! Giving me the best, always (though it may not seem to be the best.. but yes faith makes a whole lot of difference)

so i shall recount some of the incidents which i consider to be blessings, most of which are within the last few weeks only (hee i have short term memory)

1. Bintan trip! with my acctg kakis and fav boy. It was forcasted 75% thunderstorm on both sat n sun. But wheeee sat there was not a drop of rain! well it did rain on sun, but no thunder & all. and we still had fun playing cards n worrying about staples in kenneth's throat. hahaha. Even better, i think we saved alot of money! hahahaha. and and, i was supp to take the last ferry back, but after checking 2 times, there was finally seats for an earlier ferry! which meant i could go home earlier :) and i dint get my period during the trip! these add up to 3 blessings in one trip! which actually should be more but i prob dint notice hahaha.

2. Was sick and took mc ystd. Felt terrible the day before, but i recovered pretty fast. and yst was really a well-deserved rest. I feel refreshed now!

3. After almost 4 weeks of internship, i'm surprised to say that i've not been asked to do OT once yet! Which means being home by 7pm latest every day... since both my clients so far are relatively near woodlands, despite tuas being super far for almost everyone else. The jobs are not exactly very exciting but im really not complaining, and i do feel im learning qt a lot and i feel proud when i spot mistakes. haha!

4. I thought i was gonna be stuck ALONE with this very disgusting supervisor (i will explain more in the next entry maybe), and i was so afraid that work would be so tough. but thank god, theres this nice pregnant sup too and now an extra a1 around. and the sup is super nice and told the gross one specifically not to let me work ot. hehehe.

A simple poem, but i think it says alot, and it's so...blatantly truthful.

ADVENT

we're into the second week of Advent. And for those who dont know what advent is, it is the 4 weeks before Christmas... so it is a time of preparation for the birth of our Christ :)

so yes, we're now just 3 weeks to christmas!
these days, these generations, Christmas has become such good opportunity for all sorts of marketing gimmicks and the best season for shopping for gifts, clothes whatever. many discounts everywhere... it's now so commercialized.

but stop, and think. is Christmas really about shopping, eating turkey, and drinking wine and popping champagne?
Where is JESUS when He should be the focus of this special day to come? It's HIS birthday afterall!

No doubt, Christmas is a season of love, joy, and giving. Because God LOVES us so much, he GIVES us not only Jesus, but also everything good which we now have and enjoy, and that includes JOY in our lives!

So remember, Christmas is not so much about finding the perfect presents for your loved ones, or about celebrations and hearty meals... but more about sharing and giving THE PERFECT LOVE, especially to those who dont already know Jesus. It is also a time to unwrap ALL the gifts our loving dad up there has given us all through the year... and to use them wisely of cos :)

But yes, i have to admit, i love love love love receiving presents, and having to unwrap them! and i love all things pretty and sweet. heee. and i wish i have a christmas tree at home to dress up with lights and colorful balls and stars...

Christmas is just about my most favorite occasion all year round, besides my birthday.
Christmas songs are on my playlist this month!

ok i actually had wanted to also blog about life these days but im just lazy.... christmas is much more interesting. so is pet society. HAHAHAHA. so i'm gna play nowwww. heehehee
